I have always been interested in Mathematics and hence why I studied it throughout my education. I have recently graduated from University with a 2:1 degree in Maths and believe my experiences and skills learned during this will be the best way to help improve your Maths ability. As I have just finished education, I am quite aware of how teachers teach at school and what the curriculum is. Moreover, I understand the standard of the exams and how best to prepare for it. Once I have an understanding where you are at, I can work to help you in areas that you not only struggle with but also improve other areas. Homework will be handed out and I find this another great way to excel as working independently gives the chance for you to discuss any difficulties and outline any problems you may have in the next session. I will always encourage you to ask as many questions as possible and keep doing so throughout. From my learning, I have found asking questions is the best way of improving your skills. This shows you are properly engaging with the work and your understanding will drastically improve. I do have a bit of teaching experience. During my final year at Uni, I helped first years with their studies as I know how difficult it can be at that time. This was done in groups and also benefitted me as it did for them. I have also helped coach a children’s badminton club back when I was at college, where I led several different warmups and activities to help them improve their game.
