About Benjamin C
Medicine & Biology tutor
About Me
Hi my name is Ben.
I have scientific background, having graduated from the University of Leeds with a BSc (Hons) in Medical Sciences.
Following this, I attended University of Leeds School of Medicine where I graduated with a post graduate degree in Physician Associate studies.
I am currently working as a Respiratory Physician in the Yorkshire area. Prior to starting my specialist training I was employed in a rotational post, gaining essential experience in areas of medicine including Acute & General medicine, Elderly medicine, Cardiology & Gastroenterology.
Experience
The majority of my teaching experience is hospital based, ranging from ward based teaching/simulation lab teaching to more formal faculty sessions.
I have received very positive teaching feedback from a variety of audiences (GCSE, A-level, University up to final year medical students and qualified Physician Associate and junior doctor colleagues).
Approach
I feel that tackling a vast subject such as science/Medicine can be daunting. My experiences as a student taught me that learning can be enjoyable if approached with the right mindset and strategies.
My teaching style is clear and interactive with an aim to empower the student and ensure that sessions a productive and enjoyable.
I am happy to be guided by what the student needs and I am happy to provide feedback on performance and suggest key areas for development. I am more than willing to help with exam preparation or offer guidance for those about to embark on a career in Medicine.
